您可以让您地区的领导人都知道，如果他们想保住工作，他们就应该为减少气候威胁做些什么，而不是口头上的功夫。

他们该做些什么：让这个国家加入相关国际条约，并受到条约的约束，在未来迅速削减温室气体的排放；让他们从此停止用纳税人的钱去建设火力发电站，并将现有的火力发电设备都装上二氧化碳收集设备；告诉他们怎样才能更有效率的工作、生活、学习，在这些方面，他们能够大量减少温室气体的排放；鼓励他们通过立法形式，减少整个国家或者地区对化石燃料的依赖。

Earth Day is Tuesday April 22nd, and many Earth Day events are happening this weekend! Not sure yet how you'll be celebrating Earth Day? Find an event near you on the Earth Day website. What should you ask them to do? Take these ideas from the Live Earth Pledge: Demand that our country join an international treaty within the next two years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth; Ask them to fight for a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store the CO2; Tell them to work for a dramatic increase in the energy efficiency of homes, workplaces, schools, places of worship, and means of transportation; Encourage them to pass laws and policies that expand the use of renewable energy sources and reduce dependence on oil and coal; If you are in the US...
